Columbia River Spring Chinook Season Extended
Fishery managers from Oregon and Washington have added six additional days to the recreational spring Chinook salmon fishing season in the mainstem Columbia River downstream of Bonneville Dam. Commercial Salmon Troll Fishery Closures
Effective March 15, 2025, the commercial salmon troll fishery in the area between Cape Falcon, OR, and Humbug Mountain, OR, is closed through April 9, 2025. Additionally, the area between Humbug Mountain and the Oregon/California border is closed through April 14, 2025. ODFW+1ODFW+1
Ocean Salmon Season Updates
Seasons from May 16, 2025, through May 15, 2026, are currently being developed. Season alternatives for the remainder of 2025 will be reviewed, and a final season recommendation made at the April Pacific Fishery Management Council public meeting in San Jose, CA, from April 10-15, 2025. Trout Stocking Schedule
The Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife (ODFW) has released the trout stocking schedule for various water bodies. For example, during the week of April 28, 2025, Junction City Pond in the Willamette Zone is scheduled to be stocked with 3,000 legal-sized trout. ODFW
